Winter Wonderland is now available for purchase as a Ravely download. The downloadable version uses a commercial yarn, and has instructions for working this design as a two-color shawl. Winter Wonderland is still an excellent choice as a single color, handspun shawl.

Designed for the Winter 2013 issue of Ply Magazine, this shawl works up beautifully in 750 yards of light fingering weight handspun. The stockinette stitch body shows off your lovely handspun yarn, while the lacey border gives the shawl a delicate touch. The bottom edge is finished with a picot bind off.

Note: At this point Winter Wonderland does not contain written instructions for the chart. Chart reading is required to work the lace border.

This top down, half pi shawl starts with a garter tab cast on and is worked downward and outward.
