A striped heart-shaped shawl with an eye-catching knitted looped edge. The garter stitch body adds texture to the simple stripes and is easily worked by a beginner or as an effortless project for the more experienced. Choose two semi-solid/solid colours, or for a truly striking effect, work this shawl with a solid/semi-solid main colour and a gradient dyed yarn as the contrast colour.

The term “wirra” is an Australian Aboriginal word meaning Rock Wallaby, one of my favourite animals.

This is suitable for an advanced beginner level.
