Design Note As Copied From Pattern

The cardigan is knit with two yarns held together - a solid color DK weight and an interesting self-striping yarn. Use a solid color yarn that is not quite the same as any color in the striping yarn to add depth and to ensure none of the colors are lost. Experiment a little. The small and medium sizes have one large cable on each side. The large and extra large sizes have two large cables on each side. If you like, you can knit the two fronts as one with a “steek” to make sure the striping effect matches across the fronts as shown.
