The Woodard Bay Hat is knit in the round, with directions for two sizes which can be made in DK or Aran weight yarn. The yarn recommended for the DK weight version is Jorstad Creek Hazelwood, with a gauge of 5.14 stitches per inch on US size 6 needles.

The small size fits heads up to 17”-18” around and is 6-1/2” tall. The large size fits heads up to 22”-23” and is 8” tall. Because the twisted rib pattern is very stretchy, each size fits a wide range of head measurements. The large size take about 140 yards.
