Required skills: Twisted stitches, cabling, chart reading, picking up stitches, provisional cast on (for shoulder straps; can do regular cast on)

Pattern Notes

The sweater is knit from the top down, with stitches picked up from the shoulder straps, fronts and back joined at the armholes, and continued in one piece.

Motifs are charted only. Remainder of directions are written.

Waist shaping is included for a flattering, body-skimming fit.

The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches along the armhole, working short rows for the cap shaping, then continuing in the round.

XL key from the book (pdf is ok): the 1/1/1 RCpc got garbled. Slip 2 to cable needle, hold in back. K1. P1, k1 from cable needle.

XL RF shoulder chart, row 3: K8, k1 tbl, p1, k1 tbl, p2, 1/1 LPC, k1 tbl, p2, work remainder of sts in pattern as charted.

2x RF shoulder chart, row 6: stitch 14 should be worked RS purl, WS knit; stitch 13 should be worked RS ktbl, WS ptbl.

Sleeve border chart chart numbering indicates flat; it’s in the round.
