“X Marks the Spot” is a toe-up sock design inspired by a visit to the headquarters of a major company where it was challenging to find my assigned cubicle in the twisting and turning floor plan. It felt like a little treasure hunt to figure out the cubicle maze!

Knit and purl stitches re-create the cubicles so many of us spend our working hours in. Paired with a masculine semi-solid color (shown in “Nymeria”), it’s a perfect fit for the males in your life.

The pattern comes in 6 foot circumferences, and the foot and leg lengths are adjustable. It has written out instructions as well as a chart for the stitch pattern.

Included are a photo tutorial for a nifty toe-up Stockinette stitch cast-on also invented by Judy Becker (as in Judy’s Magic Cast-On), a tutorial for how to work short-rows and an example of how to calculate when to start with your gusset increases.

Sizes:
7½ (8, 8½, 9, 9½, 10)“/19 (20.5, 21.5, 23, 24, 25.5) cm foot circumference (intended to be worn with ½”/1.5 cm negative ease), 9”/23 cm long, 8”/20.5 cm tall from base of heel; foot and leg length adjustable.
