Yadkin Hat is a great beginner pattern using only garter stitch (knit every row) and is knitted flat. What a cute hat! Can be casual or dressy, squishy or firm, depending on yarn selected.

The photo sample was knitted in Bernat Beyond, but there are lots of different Super Chunky (6) yarns that will work with this hat.

It is knit entirely in garter stitch (knit every row), but you will need to be familiar with decreasing by knitting 2 together (K 2 tog) to shape the top of the hat.

It is knitted flat on straight needles and is seamed when finished.
