A yarn crawl takes you from LYS to LYS, each with it own distinct character and offerings. The different sections of the Yarn Crawl Shawl reflect this diversity, from straight garter stitch to stripes to simple lace to big eyelets to a picot bind off. Just like your LYS, this shawl has something for everyone. Choose two luscious colors of the sock yarn you picked up on the yarn crawl (or have in your stash) and dive in.

The finished measurements of this gentle crescent are a wingspan of approximately 64” and a back length of approximately 15.5”, after blocking.

A US size 5 (3.75mm) 32” circular needle and three removable stitch markers are the tools you need.

While gauge isn’t crucial, it will affect the finished size of the shawl and the amount of yarn used.

You will need 400 yards each of two different colors: the sample shown here is worked in La Jolla by Baah! in Iris (purple) and Blue Topaz (blue).
