This pattern consists of two different zebra stripes charts and was a Ravelrer’s pattern request (for a sock pattern):

• a 10-stitch pattern repeat
• a 8-stitch pattern repeat

The 8-stitch chart would be my choice for the socks or mitts because it is dividable by 4. The 10-stitch pattern could be used for hats, scarves and cowls.
