Traveling with the Doctor. This is my very 1st completed decent Spun roving. Meet Sexy (my 1st Spinning wheel HitchHicker). I name my HH after the Tardis. I was extremely surprise how different the colors look after it has been spun.
It looks great when it’s braided and you can roll it a certain way.
My 1st spun yarn Traveling with the Dr. Just imagine traveling with Dr. Who, it’s scary and exciting.

I saw the hand painted roving before I put the foil paper on the Pyrex roaster, I was hoping with steam and time it away from it, it would look so much better. I was excited pulling the huge heavy hot dish out. When I pull off the foil paper on my huge Pyrex dish with the roving inside, I thought “I made a nightmare come true.” I remember I did that with my drop spindle and re-dye it purple greenish dark almost black, and I should have left the bright orange and red alone, and just see how it appear spun up.

After spinning I was so impress with the colors becoming so rich.

I’m proud of my 1st out come. Now I need to learn how to ply. I found some on video’s on Youtube.
