I’m still working on this sweater because I want a longer version. To get a longer sweated I continued knitting until it was as long as I wanted it. I did the sleeves as follows:
● picked up 17 sts for underarm (75 sts)
● worked k for 7 rnds
● rnd 8 and every even until rnd 38: ssk first st, k next 36 sts, ssk, k to end
Rep till rnd 38
● next k until desired length is met
● work k1, p1 for 5 rnds, bind off

At this point I noticed the sweater was droopy and did not hold shape. So I crocheted (w/ h hk) from the lower right corner around thr collar down the left side. After the first rnd I dec 1 st at each dividing point for the sleeves, dec of 4 sts around the collar. I crocheted a total of 4 rnds, rnds 2 & 3 dec rnds on collar, rnd 3 I made button holes by ch 3 sk 1 st. Last rnd sc around. Finally I did a rev sc around the bottom ribbing. I also crocheted the buttons.
