I bought the book for this pattern. I never do that… I never could find the right yarn, or have the quantity on hand to make this. Also, I have been looking for an awesome shawl pattern for this yarn. How funny that I should come across this pattern and see people have used Kauni to make it? Fuck yeah! It’s coming to Miami with me :D

And it’s amazing…. if I could have finished the whole pattern it would have been better! I added an additional repeat of 12 pineapples, then started the edging chart.

I had to stop when I had 8g of yarn…. and 4 rows left (not even enough to finish a whole row… had to frog 1/4 a row). It looks great the way it is, but one day I will buy another skein of Kauni EQ and finish the last four rows. Also, the written directions had me ripping out my hair -___- Good thing I know how to read crochet charts or I would have been kinda fucked and SOL. I rated this a medium because of that… the pattern is easy enough to execute and very intuitive once you get into the making of the pineapples, which is how I was able to add an additional repeat of them without any hassle.

I blocked it. It’s 24” at center and wingspan is roughly 52”.
