This is my first knitted lace project & my first time reading a chart instead of a written pattern. I definitely made a few mistakes, but here are my notes as I went along:

3/13 - Knitted to Row 30 of chart A. I knit tight and didn’t like the look of the shawl, so I ripped it all out and switched to 6.5mm needles.

3/13 - Knitted to row 22 of chart A. Uneven stitch count, ripped out and started over.

3/14 - Knitted to row 19 of chart A. Uneven stitch count (short 1 stitch). Can’t find mistake, picked up a M1 before the yo, k2 of end of row.

3/14 - Finished chart A.

3/15 - 1st skein of yarn ended 6 stitches before the end of row 18 on chart B.

3/15 - Finished chart B.

3/15 - Uneven stitch count on 1st go of chart C in several different rows (off by 1 stitch) so I just M1 where I needed a stitch before the yo, k2 of the middle of shawl. This affected the way some of the leaves look when blocked. If I knitted this again, I would use stitch markers, especially when the pattern calls for 6 repeats of a particular spot.

3/15- Finished all but 2 rows of chart C. Running out of yarn. K 2 rows and then did a picot b/o. I thought I was knitting this from the bottom up until I did the bind off and realized I had actually knitted from the top down, amazing!

Piece measures 24” from the top to the longest part of back & 65” across.
