Finished the colourwork heel flap with 20 rows (I did a couple extra because of the unstretchiness; hopefully it wasn’t too many!). I’ll do the rolls longer on Heather’s pair: 20 CC and 15 MC.

Picked up 18 sts + 1 corner on each side of the heel flap and started the round back at the original place.

Finished the gusset decreases with 26 rounds (13 repeats) and did an extra round to get things moved to a circ for magic loop. I have never had such horrible ladders as on this sock. IT’S SO FUCKING TERRIBLE. I really hope I can block it out. Starting the 2” of colourwork ribbing for the arch.

I finished the arch with 20 rounds of colourwork and am working through the rest of the 8.25” before the toe.

I ripped back to move the colourwork down closer to the toes. It’s just too restrictive on the arch. I’m going to knit plain until 6.25” from the heel turn and then redo the stripes. WHY AM I SUCH A PERFECTIONIST?!

Ready to start the stripes again, 35 rounds after the gusset. This seems like better placement for something kind of narrowing.

Finished the stripes and, though I won’t be adjusting it here, I think 30 rounds after the gusset would be better. On to the plain bit (10 rounds) before I switch to the CC for the square toe.
