01-12-2016

Starting this as a break from crochet (since I have another shark to do soon) and as a surprise for Rebecca. I think pink is her colour and this was as close as I could get.

01-14-2016

Finished the garter stitch border and a single repeat. It looks like each 8 row repeat is about 1.5 inches so I’ve got 26 more to go before the decreases (24 before joining in the round). :S This may take longer than I’d anticipated.

02-25-2016

Finally hit repeat 24 and I can join in the round! Fuck yes!

03-11-2016

Finished the main part at 218 rows and 27 repeats and will start the decrease section now. The end is in sight!

Finished the decreases and on to the last 3” of ribbing. Then just the fin left. Yahoo!

Bound this fucker off! A fin and four ends to weave in and it’s done!

Tail fin finished! This turned out adorably but my god, knitting with this yarn was heavy and awful. But yay, done! About three pounds all said and done. WHOA!

To avoid sewing a back seam, I worked the blanket flat until about 4 inches before the start of the decrease section, then joined in the round to complete the body.
