I despise the way the short rows ended up on this. I finally realised why they were turning out all wonky as hell and I feel hella dumb. Ripping these out and making shorty socks instead.

Adding a “Hugs and Kisses” cable (started the chart at R7 for a complete motif) four stitches from the edge, bordered with two purls. Turning out pretty cute!

Finished 3.5 repeats of the cable (56 rounds). It counted weirdly because I wanted it to be XOs from the top and not have half an X at the bottom. I’ll finish the rest in stockinette. Hopefully it’s not too wide for her.

Fifty percent done! 15 rounds past the end of the cable (I ended it about half an inch short because I think they’re a little big around). This heel is nice. I like the look and ease but I need to pin the edges together to avoid the stretched out stitches at the edges. 5 rounds of “leg” before the ribbing (10 rounds) and SSK bind off.
