Notes

Have a few favorites but loved granpen’s rainbow bear and the rainbow idea. I had some of these colors and had purchased others to make a rainbow sweater on knitty but I couldn’t wait on yarn to make this bear. I wanted to see how it would turn out before I bought more exspensive yarn. Used bigger hooks since I used a different weight yarn. The arms, legs, and lower part of the body worked up quick but progress got a little slower once I went to the 2.5mm hook because it often caught the yarn. Used one bag of polyfill to stuff.

It is really big. After all is done the body and head could have been stuffed a little more. I would definately make this again and play around with attaching all parts as I go for a stationary bear or using movable joints.

12/10/2013- Feet bottom and instep done
12/18/2013- Feet complete. Flowers for arms done up to round three because rounds four and five are the same color. Joining flower motifs for arms.
12/20/2013- Both arms complete. Body and head to go.
2/3/2014- Worked on other projects for a while. Body done expect for the closing hexagon…hook m.i.a
2/11/2014- Body done. Head complete and attached. All that’s left is to attach the legs and arms. Wish I had bigger eyes but that was the biggest I could find at the time.
2/13/2014- Legs and arms attached using wooden buttons to joint. This was the roughest part for me because I wanted it to look right as well as the fact that I only had a regular yarn needle which would fit through the holes on the buttons.
