• Finished size: 3 1/4” diagonally from tip of first point to tip of third point.

• Easily memorized pattern. I had it down after the first half of a star.

• Hanger is made from kitchen twine to give it a simple, primitive country feel. It’s tucked and sewed in between the two star sides.

• Whip stitched the stars together using the outside leg of the edge stitches (see last photo).

A trio of stars for my friend and her family. This is the last craft project for my Facebook “Creative Pay it Forward 2013” exchange. She likes primitive/country design so I think this will fit in with her style. UPDATE: She was thrilled with her surprise gift at church this morning and absolutely LOVED the stars.

My one year old daughter enjoyed playing with the finished stars. I’ll have to whip up a bigger one for her to have.
