Instructions for making in the round:

MOUSE BODY:

This starts from the bottom rather than knitting the base separately.

  • Cast on 13 sts with fur color, leaving long tail
  • Inc in every st 26 sts
  • Ss 3 rows
  • Inc every other st 39 sts
  • Ss 3 rows
  • Change to dress color.
  • Inc every 3rd st 52 sts
  • P one row
  • Ss 17 rows
  • Continue with “Shape waist” step of lady mouse body and stop with the “Cast off for shoulder edge” step.

HEAD, MOB CAP:

Make as indicated, but just do it in the round. No changes necessary.

SLEEVES AND HANDS:

  • Leave a long tail for sewing the arm on.
  • Start NOT in the round.
  • Join at the end of the second row where you cast on 3 for the underarms.
  • The row after the “1st inc row” is a knit row in the round.
  • The row after the “2nd dec row” is a purl row in the round.
  • The rest of the sleeve and hand is the same.

CHRISTMAS PUDDING:

  • The only changes when making this in the round is when it says “P 1 row”, knit the row instead.

PLATTER:

I did not put cardboard in this, just knit it as a ball and flattened it to have a two-sided plate.

  • Cast on 11
  • Inc in every st 22 sts
  • K 1 row
  • K1, inc 1 around 33 sts
  • Ss 4 rows
  • Continue from “1st dec row” as written except knit the middle row rather than purling it.

EARS:

Start with a purl row after cast-on.

Remember to stuff before cinching up the openings!
