Notes

Mom’s coworkers loved the tote I made her so much, they asked her, to ask me, to make a small one and donate it to them for their auction for a Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser on the 15th of this month. Since I felt no love for that pattern, I chose this one instead.

Made slots for handles smaller after reading notes on other projects, to do that, I k18, c/o 13, k 18, c/o 13, k18.

I doubled the yarn, with color A for the handles and started with a single strand, with color B for the body. I did a double strand again, with color A for the bottom of the bag.

New Technique learned: Meg Swansen’s jogless join. Looks nice

10/4/11 It was an easy and quick knit. It grew before I knew it. I definitely will do it again.

I’m not happy with how my handles are not centered. Shortening them, meant I should have changed the corners a bit. I was to lazy to do the math for that, now I wish I had. I hope the blossom hides the the unevenness at the top.

Update: The bag went for $25 toward Breast Cancer Awareness! It was a hit, and mom said she can start taking order….no thanks. I told her I’d make one every now and then as gifts though!

I followed the directions for the blossom from this project.
