Notes

I like to have a light and soft sweater for the warmer days. And thought this would be the perfect one! It’s breezy because of the gorgeous lace part and very cool and soft with the cotton yarn I used.

knitting much faster than I thought

a few thoughts…
At first I started with size 3.25 and 3mm for the whole body part (gauge 30 sts), but the piece was almost twice as large. So I went down to the smallest size and a half needle size up.

added 3cm to the body part, before I started the pleats.

I liked knitting the lace panels a lot, very easy and fast going. added one more repeat.

used this easy tutorial for the neck shaping.

after finishing the right front I joined shoulders together, before starting the left front and instead of cutting yarn.

knitted button- and neckband before sleeves, because I din’t know, if I would have enough yarn left. :)
picked up 101 stitches for the buttonbands (34 lace part, 67 stockinette part) and placed the buttonholes as k7, (yo, k2tog, k7) to last 4 stitches, yo, k2tog, k2.

knitted the sleeves at the end and did not pick up the wrapped stitches, because I don’t like this way and it looks horrible the way I do it (don’t know why)!
one more decrease and 60 stitches until I had 86 rounds.
