Notes

I’m going to work A, B, C, B, A. CO 119 (137 minus 18). Final size: ?
I trimmed off the dropped stitches on each end of chart C since I’m not doing chart A between B & C.
Warning: Rayon does not block much bigger/longer - which luckily, I was expecting.

-need to finish by 3/26 for a wedding.
-using lace addi turbos. this is helping to knit/purl into the backs of stitches.
-had to cast on about 7 times (lost count at 5). now I realize that you do have to line up the stitches every 10 or so in order to have an accurate stitch count for the cast on. Someone had written this, but I did not realize that if the stitches are twisted, you can’t count how many are actually there. This yarn help up really well to that many cast-ons! :)
-don’t forget to read the chart - odd rows (RS) from the right and even rows (WS) from the left.
-after the first run through the pattern, it is fairly easy to follow and i’m only using st markers to separate A/B/C.

1/30/2011 - I’m about halfway done with the body and am worried I’ll run out of yarn, so I’m doing the bottom border to see how much yarn it takes/how hard it is….found some notes in the KAL group.
Notes on the border:
-left my provisional waste yarn in until I was finished with the border so it could act as a lifeline.
-did a provisional cast on, but ended up with 7 loops instead of 8 for each column. I just joined the first 7 and knit the 8th row without attaching.
-at the end of the first border, I ended up needing to graft 10 sts to 8.
-my best advice is to try the border when you have quiet and can really pay attention AND check out the KAL for this project; it was very helpful.

Would you believe it was too hot at the wedding to wear this? sigh.
