this hat is so much fun to knit! the braided edges at the top and bottom of the band are great fun. i love this hat and have knit several, but they got away from me before i could photograph them. i do have a picture of my oldest daughter wearing a beautiful tomato red with fuzzy white mohair….i finished it, she put it on, and took it with her to austin before i knew what was happening. :)

i never put the little hanging beaded braid off the top; it’s not my style and i think it distracts from the real beauty of this hat.
