one ball took me to the toe decreases, so I used 3 grams of knitpicks sock yarn for the toe. luckily it was a wonderful match.

june 29: thanks to manhattanmarg for tips and advice - i’m casting on again tonight, without the mods. should work out perfectly!

june 26: LOVE the pattern, LOVE the yarn. just didn’t love them together. Gauge too small for yarn too heavy, perhaps my knitting was too tight, combined with very dense pattern = fabric like cardboard. definitely want to make the pattern again.

june 25: casting on 72 stitches, and 8 rows of 2x2 ribbing
