I haven’t crocheted since I was about 8; I was in the mood for something different this morning and thought this looked liked fun.

11/2/09: Done! The pattern is very cute, lots of fun and mindless. The colors of the yarn are really gorgeous and somehow, the color always changes right when I started a new section. But MAN. Who could wear this stuff? Noro is like straw. I’ll wear this over a black turtleneck as an accent; I can’t imagine keeping it next to my skin.

11.21.09: wow, blocking really does change this from straw into yarn. i did a very long soak, then laid it out flat on a towel. it’s much softer now, though i still wouldn’t want to wear vast expanses of it next to my skin.
