I love the idea of using the eyelets on the neckbank to weave a ribbon through. However, I also like to wear my cardis open, and did not like the idea of having two ribbons hanging. So instead of tying a bow at the neck front opening, I used two lengths of ribbon and secured them at the front edge and tied they bow at the back neck.

The sweater was quick and easy to put together and I will probably make up a short sleeved version at some point.

I used the Dorset Button tutorial over on Burda Style (http://www.burdastyle.com/blog/vintage-in-detail-dorset-b...) for my buttons. The forms are Dritz plastic rings, and the yarn is a bit thicker than I would like, but they match my sweater!
