This was a great scarf for a beginner knitter who knows how to do knit and purl, the only other stitches are k2tg, yo and ssk. The pattern can be found at Jerin Knits website, its a free pattern. I had done a scarf purely in knit prior to this and then one in ribbing, this was my third scarf for something a little more adventurous. If you are a beginner just do a swatch of knits and purls to get some confidence then move forward to this project. I learned how to do ssk, k2tog and yo on youtube videos, it wouldn’t hurt doing those a couple of times in a swatch too, keep the videos in your favorites to turn to if needed.

I did have to unknit a few times and had a couple of incidents of partial frogging but they were great learning curves. I kept an eye on where I was by writing the row numbers in a note book ticking off each row as I did it so I wouldnt loose count of where I was at. If there is an easier way (perhaps with markers) I would love to know how but that was the most logical way I could work out at the time.

My photo does not do the scarf justice, it has a lovely curvy edge and the detail is beautiful when finished. There are matching hat/beanie patterns to match which is on my todo list once I get the right size circular needles. Such a simple pattern with very satifying results.
