Notes

Third shape in the shawl of many shapes pattern, a fundraiser for Medecins San Frontiers with the plight of the Syrian refugees in mind.

7 reps of lace, 3.5 jumping to 4.5 for edging because I wanted it to open up like a dandelion and all but float away. Meas 160cm around inner curve, and 42 depth (60x16)

Accidentally left it soaking for 2 hours (as bedtime stories go, it turns out Pollyanna gets pretty gripping towards the end! ) so a little of the blue seemed into the white. I like this though as it gives it a nice soft finish.

The blocked pic shows the shape clearly. I chose to make my border quite tight by skipping the YOs on the WS and picking them up on the RS as afterthought YOs. Also by increasing needle size significantly. Bound off absurdly loosely, and worked picots between the sts where the repeat line sits. (I gave it a moderate whizz pre blocking to get all the stockinette to drop downwards instead of ruckling.)

Using Dawn’s gorgeous Seaspray for this one.
