Notes

These mitts came about because I fell completely in love with the yarn I was using to make the Badlands Hat. I hated the idea of seeing any of it go to waste so I designed a top-down pair of mitts that will use the leftovers--just divide your available yarn into two before starting and work until you have just enough yarn to bind off.

You can see the scrap amount leftover from the hat and mitts in the photos--not pictured is my gauge swatch, which also came from that single skein of perfection.

I realized during the process that I have loads of 13-25 gram leftovers in fingering weight yarn from loads of projects, that I’m not the only one who does, and that these mitts are a solution to an almost universal problem.
