A long time ago, even before I was born, my mother started to knit herself a sweater but left that project hibernated.
Coupe of years ago I saw those yarn and decided it would fit perfectly for a scarf for my husband. He said ‘Ok, but it must be a really big scarf’ when I told him the idea. That’s how it begun.
I knitted it using two strands of yarn to make the scarf thicker. It’s very warm and long, and I’m happy with this project.
I don’t know how this type of ribbing is called in English, but it’s very simple, completely reversible and maker great men’s scarves.
The pattern:
CO even number of stitches. {k1, slip 1 st purlwise, yo}. Repeat to the end of the row =)
Шарф связан английской резинкой из старой, советского производства, шерсти в две нити.
