Knit on size 2 needle for ribbing and pattern as my first attempt with size 1 and 3 didn’t work out. I’m about 7 inches deep and it is measuring 39 inches wide, which is my bust, so I think it will be good when I add the button band.

Knit the sleeves starting on the smallest size then added stitches by trying on the sleeve and fitting to my arm. Ended up with the 4th size sleeve at the top.

Decided to block then let and sleeves before I stitched it together which was a good call.

I did not use the collar from the pattern. It looks odd and bunched up around the neck in most pictures. I think the pattern would be improved if it was shaped as a v-neck and decreased on the front sides to the. Add a shawl collar. Though I didn’t do this, I decided to give the shawl collar a try. I knit about 5 rows of the button bar, made my buttonholes then found the center of the back of the sweater and marked 22stitches down on both sides. I started short rows down near the beginning of my button holes, and added another few rows to the button band all the way across.
