Notes

Note (2014-01-26): I used an extra skein than “Medium” calls for in the pattern, because I chose to make it longer than the design.

This yarn is EXTREMELY practical. Soft to the skin, even in the dead of summer, despite its chunkiness. The photos were taken today after this sweater has been machine washed and machined dried countless times. Minimal pilling, if any. The sweater still looks almost new, to me.

There are a number of things I would change, but I’ll incorporate those in the design, when I write it up:)

This sweater is also known as Sheep2, and is work year round as my coat, my housecoat, my camping/cottage coat, my cool summer night sweater.

I experimented heavily with the gauge before eventually settling ont he 6.5mm needles. The tight fabric (5mm needles or less) had very little drape. The loose fabric (8mm needles) was too loose to be practical, and I fear it would not have held up as well in the wash. There have been a lot of mixed reviews for this yarn in the comments section of ravelry’s page for this yarn. I suspect this is all related to differences in gauge.
