Notes

28/6/2012: I cast one of these slippers on yesterday afternoon and I’m enjoying how quickly it’s coming together. I haven’t been changing the colours up as I go, but I think I will on my next pair :)

29/6/2012: I finished my first slipper last night. Half way through!

30/6/2012: I finished my second slipper late this evening. Yay!

~Some things of note~
Instead of sewing up the back seam I held the two sides together and slip stitched it closed.

The opening of the second slipper I made is a bit tight. It could be the way I slip stitched the back.

I think I was accidentally decreasing the back part of the slippers by not crocheting into the first stitch after doing each 2 st turning chain.

~What I’ll try next time~
I’ll have to try crocheting into the first stitch after doing each 2 st turning chain and see if this addresses the ‘decrease’ concern.

I’d like to make these up again and making them stripey.

I think that next time, regardless of whether they are stripey or not I should bind off before starting the back part and maybe seeing if I can align the increase lines with the instep.

Also, I was thinking that for the back part of the slipper I should try coming from the back of the each second row to see if this reduces the difference in stitch texture of each alternating row.

Just some things to think about for the next time I make these.
