My Dad requested a hat and chose this wool. It’s chunky, so I hope one ball is enough. ..

Yes, 100g was more than enough.
I worked the brim on a 5mm needle, then switched to 6mm until I started the decreases. On reflection, it would have looked better if it had all been worked on 5mm. Never mind.

As you can see, he couldn’t wait to try it on!

Soooo… The hat stretched quite quickly, so I’ve spent the last 2 evenings knitting it again on a 4.5 mm needle. I had the same number of stitches but had to work extra rows.
And now it fits a treat!
