Lucy of Attic 24 has asked for Mandala’s for this years Yarndale, so I had a hunt around for a pattern (although she has some on her blog) and chose Wink’s Spoke Mandala.
I only used a 3mm hook as my tension can be a bit loose and Lucy only wants 7” mandalas. I also modified Wink’s pattern slightly when making the spokes, as I don’t have a tunisian crochet hook or even a regular steel hook - all mine have fimo handles. There was a similar pattern in Simply Crochet last month that did the spokes a little differently, so I followed their instructions just for the spokes. Which is why I only have 12 and they don’t line up in the middle…
Quick and fun to make though.
