Cast on 64 (size larger than I need). Moved the stitch pattern over 2 stitches and added 2 purls on either side for extra stretch.

After two repeats of lace on the leg, I put 2 rows of decreases on the outside of the purls on either side. Every other row for 4 rows to decrease to 60 stitches. Works much better for my skinny ankles.
