Notes

I liked the idea of trying a dark skin tone baby. I used a medium brown for this baby, which has turned out darker than anticipated. This baby is also destined for dementia patients to cuddle, like my first one.

Completed the knitting of the pieces for this one 27.05.16.

This is my first dark-skinned baby and it seems difficult to make the lips look full, without appearing to have been lipsticked! So I used a dark plum and dusky pink.

I decided the bald look wasn’t working, so the hair, brows and eye lashes are from sheep wool.

I still have the nappy to do. For speed I sewed a fabric nappy. Charity shop baby clothes for 0 -3 months fit best.

To make a newborn I’d try 4ply yarn next time. I would also stuff from top to give firmer chin / jawline.
