Found this wonderful pattern from Anne Blayney while browsing new patterns. I LOVE IT! It’s such a wonderful knit. Due to the ever changing pattern it’s just not getting boring. And it’s perfect for high contrast yarns like the ones I’m using. Perfect! :)
In my FB group I started posting progress pics after every section. People don’t stop telling me how beautiful this knit is. It’s on some to-knit-lists by now. :D

Making progress. The last days were not very knitter friendly, but now I’ve all the time. :) So, I went on and did the mesh section today. It seems that something’s wrong with either what I did or the pattern. For my shawl I had to repeat only the last two rows of the mesh pattern, not all rows. I did this until 10 rows of mesh were worked, as on the pics it looks like 10 rows rather than 12. Not that this is essential for the shawl to work the following sections (it’s said that one an make more repeats if wanted). Ended with 207 sts.
Talked about this with Anne and she’ll sort out whether it was due to my own dumbness or to a minor mistake in the pattern. No matter what, this pattern is still a fantastic knit. With the right combination of colors it looks just fantastic and it is easy, though it looks like some complicated piece of work. Maybe I’ll make another one with less contrast than this one. Have a look on how the colors impact the overall look of the shawl. IF I can get myself to knitting it a second time. There’s so much on my to-knit-list. :D

Finished the last slip stitch section and three of the last five garter st ridges.
In the slip stitch section the sts around the middle markers are different. I ended with sl1, k1, yo and started with yo, k1, sl1. The st count made this necessary. I like it because it gives more symmetry to this section.
