Wow! this shawl looks very difficult to make but its so well written that its not difficult at all. Thank you B !!!
I used needles 5 for the small garter stitch body and needles number 6 for the lace section.
I wanted a small garter stitch body, the lace, and the extended lace section, and I got them BUT, I didnt have enough yarn for the picot bid off =( that I really wanted. (on the third picture , thats what i had left of yarn)
The yarn its not in stock so I had to wait till August If I wanted more yarn, so I finished this way. Im sure Im going to knit another one and that one its going to have picot for sure.
I really didnt need a lot may be just 1 or 2 meters… oh well, it looks amazing anyways ! =0)
The yarn is really nice as well, it took me couple of days to figure out if this yarn was blue, grey, etc. So this sparrow yarn in pigeon its blue with a violet undertone.
Probably Ill make another one in a lighter colour =)
I used the 6/ glass beads
and I followedoboegoddess
advice on how to place the beads, cause this was my first time of knitting with beads.
This is her advice
Place bead on stitch before knitting stitch. s2kpsso is a central double decrease. The bead looks best added to the second stitch before completing the decrease as follows… slip 1stitch pwise, add bead to second stitch, slide first stitch back to left needle and slip first 2 sts togkwise, k1, pass 2 slipped sts over. Bead should float over the top of the decrease.
It worked really well for me =) Thank you oboegoddess !
