Starting this just a few minutes before midnight.

Since the total circumference of the body is 40 stitches and I suck at seaming, it’d be easier to cast on 5 stitches (using this method), do the increases and then join in the round. Now to figure out how to do the feet.

Minor mods I made to the ears: Slipped the first stitch of every row for a neater edge, decreased to 4 stitches instead of 8, and grafted on the ears instead of drawing the yarn through the remaining loops. Combined mattress/kitchener grafting is easier than it sounds.

Also used a crochet chain for the tail.
