Awesome pattern! I’m definitely going to knit this one again in a different colour. Be careful to knit the wraps with the stitches otherwise it shows up as an irregularity in the stockinette stitch.
Jan 13: I’m really enjoying this pattern. It’s simple to remember but still interesting to work.
Jan 19: Starting the sleeves. I didn’t have 3.5mm dpns but I do have 3.25 dpns and I figure that’s close enough especially if I knit a tiny bit looser.
Jan 20: Finished 1 sleeve. Lengthened to 19.5 inches
Jan 23: Finished sleeves. Attached sleeves to body. The instructions for the shaping after that are too much for my brain right now after such a long day at work. Hopefully tackle it tomorrow.
Jan 24: I’ve carefully read over the shaping instructions many times and it made sense to me. It was going great. I finished the neck and shoulder shaping but the number of sts I had left for the front was 26, not 19. I can’t figure out where I missed decreases. I’ve followed the instructions to the tee! Now I’m stuck! I may have to just add some more decreases on the neck edge and shoulder edge to end up with 19 sts as the pattern specifies.
Silly me! During the neck shaping I counted each WS and RS as 1 time each instead of both WS and RS = 1 repeat so I was short 7 decreases on neck edge. Going back a couple rows in order to fit in my decreases.
Finished! And I have 2.5 skeins left over. So I only used 7.5 skeins total.
This is so soft, cozy and warm. I absolutely love wearing it.
