Notes

Lis likes yellow, so got this yarn, but have had an awful time deciding what to do with it. I know she likes a narrow scarf and every stitch pattern I tried and like was just too wide. Finally decided on this simple pattern, working it only 5 blocks wide. Will probably do single crochet around edge to finish off.

instead of slip stitch, ch3 around post, am working sc, ch2 - just my preference

gauge of 5 blocks by 5 blocks = 3 1/2”
one ball has given me 37” on long side

sorry for poor photo - indoors and in a hurry, so I can finish this up. Will add better when finished.

I’d finished this about 9.25, but had used too many sc around edging (7 in the space of 2 blocks). It looked awful and just sat till yesterday (10.8.11). I pulled out edging and did 5 sc in space of 2 blocks - 3 in top of dc’s and 2 in post of next block. Did not add additional sc’s in corners - that helped to keep the ends from flaring a bit.

didn’t really block it, just wet and patted out, let dry

Will get photos when have time & decent weather.

Because I had nearly half the yarn left, decided to make her a Sunspree shawl

last photo shows 1 full ball - got 3 1/2” x 34” short edge, 37 1/2” long edge
