Notes

This is a fun, fast and easy project I made up as a sample for my upcoming Crochet 101 class offered by the lovely ladies at Knit New Haven. It will be the class project for the Sept. 22nd 2012 class. Check out their site for more details! It took me 3-4 hours to complete, so even a beginner is not in for a really long haul. If you’re experienced, this would make a great last-minute gift! Of course, the fun “twist” is that it’s a mobius, which is cool all by itself, and that means once you get going there are no real “rows”, you just go!

I loved the way this yarn worked up - just like the pretty pattern on my sweet little Corydorus Catfish. I think crochet like this blends the hand-dyed yarns so nicely. The colorway is a great basic for fall, and it washed up nice and soft and warm.

If you are familiar with the mobius form, for reference:
I chained 147, then the whole thing is worked in half double crochet. It took all of my yarn to get a 4.75 in. wide by 48 in. around.

This was inspired by Hungry Knitter’s Mobius, and to see the tutorial which got me going on this, check out this craftzine. Since I don’t really feel this is a pattern, but more of a general idea, this version I have done will not be written up as a ravelry pattern, but I will be offering a take-home written tutorial of my own for the class.
