Notes

Seems like the directions for rnd 11 start in the middle of a repeat, and go from the closing of the egg on rnd 10 to making a ch 7, which should not come before or after the ‘egg’. I made my ‘ears’ longer, because I was interpreting this pattern as eggs and bunnies, but you can use the count in the pattern if you want.

RND 11: slp st across the ch5, past the point of the egg, and the next ch 5 - don’t skimp on the slp stitches or you’ll make the chains on either side of the ‘egg’ too short.
EAR CLUSTER SECTION: ChSlp st into the first dc top and ch10 -I did a 6wrp tpl in the next 2dc, but you can use the pattern number or whatever you like. You now have a cluster do NOT close, made of the chain and 2 6wrp trpls(or however long yours is). You now have 3 loops on your hook.
SKIP OVER THE CH 3 SPC, to start the second half of the first tip or ear.

Work 6wrp trpls in next 2 dc, you now have 5 loops on your hook, close the cluster. and make 1 tight ch. At this point I usually make 1 slp st to the chain on the RIGHT, to keep the strands from showing a split at the top, where there are 3 on one side, and 3 strands on the other side. Ch 10 and sl st into the next dc from the prev rnd. Sl st the next dc top and ch 10 to begin the ear. Follow the instructions as written above, and you will get to the ch 5 on either side of the egg, and start over, again.

IN SUMMARY, INCASE THIS GOT MESSY, you slip st thru the egg’s chains to the first dc, then you have a total of long chain, 2 long triples (however many you choose), skp the ch 3 spc, 2 more long trps, close the 5 loop cluster, and ch 10 down to finish the left ear. So the inside of the ear is 4 long trps, outlined on each ear side by a long chain (4 long chains all together, for each set of ears)
