5Sept2012: Cardigan gifted in Geneva! Baby is small, so there is actually hope of the 6 month size being accurate. =)

The pattern says just to knit stripes of color in the ribbing, but the pictures look like there are 2x2 boxes of contrast color. I preferred that, so I fair-isled the 2 knit stitches of the ribbing with the contrast color, for 2 rows each time.

The zipper is short because there are no 25cm zippers in Canada, just 23cm.

26June2012: I spent a long time looking for the perfect baby cardigan, and had to scour the foreign language magazines. My first Phildar pattern I picked was incomprehensible -- even to my french-speaking boyfriend -- but this one seems manageable so far.

After much discussion about the color combos, I decided to do a little Photoshopping of the original pic. The results are very useful. Just use the “Magic Wand” tool to select to motif, and change the foreground color, and then fill with the “Bucket” tool. I have a pic of my montage to show off the results. My chosen combo is in the top left corner, and ends up being the closest to the original. Oh, well!
