A test knit for Lavish Craft.

I love tight neck cowls, and I like some extra warmth on the chest… like a dickey! :D I love the idea of using classic lace borders in a dickey, too, clever.

Trying with some Rowan Softknit Cotton, a very soft worsted chain yarn. The stitch definition is killer, just what you want with twisted stitches. It has a tendency to almost flatten into a matte cord when knit. Interesting sheen.

Unfortunately the nylon content is not happy with the lace part. It bounced back after blocking in hours. That’s okay, it’s still pretty and will be going under a coat. Maybe steam blocking it would improve it?

Or spray starch, lol?
