Row 6 can be an extremely pain in the ass. But it’s not that difficult, and even if you do your own version of it, it’ll come out fine. I looked at the detail of the image used on the pattern page here on Ravelry to help figure it out.

Row 10 is where you begin making the braids. Not too difficult, but the strands can get in the way during this row, and so it can be a little frustrating. (the very last picture shows progress at the end of row 10)

Row 12 is where you begin attaching the braids. It’s not too complicated, and it’s not really spelled out. Just twist an appropriate braid; doesn’t matter how many times as long as you do them all the same.

Row 17 takes fucking forever. It’s not that bad, but it takes FOR-E-VER.

From row 17 on to about row 21, it does not look like the pictures. Don’t get worried! It will begin to straighten up, and with a little blocking after it’s done, it should look normal.

After row 20, I had to go through the pull all the treble-crochet stitches to the front, because the bumps were on the back. It was easy to do, and no big deal.

I’m not too happy with how the braids in the center turned out, but that’s probably because I might have braided them too tightly.
