Notes

I was inspired by Princess Pea’s creation but wanted to press on and do it in the round. As she said it was difficult to work out. I eventually worked as for the original pattern until I began working in rows and that is where it all goes wrong. After many unravellings I got it right by doing it this way AFTER you begin working in rows:

Row 1: Knit (right side facing)
Row 2: P2 tog to end of row.
Row 3: M1, WRN, K1, WRN, ending with K1. (The original says ending with WRN, M1) For some reason the M1 needed to be put at the beginning of the row.
Row 4: Purl to end of row, dropping WRN as you go.

I did not join in the round again until I began decreasing.

The look of the pattern is completely different to the original when worked in the round. This is actually the wrong side of the work as opposed to the original pattern.

I also made a liner using 1 strand of 8 ply and stitched it to the cosy around the base instead of picking up the stitches. It is a very warm tea cosy and a very happy teapot.

This is my final tea cosy in the tea cosy period of my life as I only have 3 teapots.

I hope you found these notes helpful!
