Notes

I knit, crochet, weave… so I have tons and tons odds and ends - wool, cotton, acrylic, silk…

I was really racking my brain what to do with it.
I made several wash clothes, some toys for my kid, was using this as stuffing for toys….
One night I went to bad thinking about it again. In the morning, the idea was formed.
I made the hat in the same day!

I named it Shapka-Solyanka, which would have a meaning from Russian - Hat-KitchenSink

I separated my yarn in piles of different colors. Not the fiber content. The longest strands, I cut in 30-40” length. Then tied them with weavers knot, just randomly taking yarn from piles.

To make a hat, I use a mane color yarn - something in rich and dark color, like raspberry or navy.

The band I crocheted with #3mm hook.
The hat body was knitted with 4.5mm needles, stockinette st.
The pom-pom I made with Clover Pom-Pom Maker 2,5”.
