(April 1, 2014) just started, and this is another adventurous challenge - just completed the first two flower motifs, and connected them - this pattern gives instructions so that the motifs are all crocheted together in bands. Both diagrams and written instructions are included in this pattern - Hooray!
(May 2) uploading photos which I took in April after starting - love this pattern, took a break from crocheting as I was so busy at home; then made a shawl which I needed to wear - something to wrap around my shoulders for the hot weather here. Pressing on~
(May 14) photos showing two rows of the skirt completed~ Added a touch of color as I was going along ~
(lavender colored Safran yarn by =DROPS
(May 22) just completed the fourth row of the skirt - one more row left (of eight flowers), then finishing the waist, the bottom edging….then the blocking ~ added more colors, also Safran cotton yarn by DROPS
(May 27) just one more flower motif to go in the last row of the skirt ~39 floral motifs done and connected; one more left
(May 28) skirt body completed~ began weaving in loose ends of the 40 flower motifs
(May 29) finished weaving in ends; crocheted the loose ends of the hem line into the hem edging. Started the waist ~
(May 30) finishing up waist
(May 31) finished waist, but did not follow the directions properly as it is about an 18” waist :/
(June 2 ) frogged the waist back to where my mistake began (row 2 of waist) and have begun anew -
(june 3) finished~ except for the blocking - am uploading a pre-blocking photo! also, will make an underskirt, and a new tie for the waist (in the photo I used white ribbon as the tie)
(june 9 -10) finger blocked after gentle washing by hand, and laid out on towels on a laundry rack to dry - looks great! and the yarn looks lovely ~ (1st two photos blocking in the sun)
